I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas and didn't get too worn out!
2015 is almost here.  This is the last blog for 2014.  There will be a slight New Look to the blog for 2015 and I hope it will suit your needs.  This one is, as predicted, a bit shorter than usual.

From  Adrienne Dellwo, your Guide to Fibromyalgia & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

ME/CFS is a dramatically under-researched condition, and alternative treatments are generally under-researched as well, making it hard to figure out which treatments are worth trying. The tides have turned, however, when it comes to acupuncture for this illness. Acupuncture is so often associated with pain conditions that you may not realize all the other potential benefits it has. Get a look at the body of research that's developed in the past eight years, below.
Also, with all that research, there's bound to be a few terms most people aren't familiar with, so you'll find some new definitions put together just for this article. Down in Featured Articles, browse through multiple articles about navigating different obstacles of this season.
Happy Holidays to You! Take EXTRA GOOD Care of Yourself!

Fibro Flare Magazine, Dec 2014 - Editor’s Welcome

I have enjoyed working on this month’s magazine – it has helped me to see just exactly how much I, personally have achieved. How far the magazine has progressed and has worked to remind me of all the support I have received this year.
2014 is almost behind us. We have achieved a great deal since we started this magazine in May. In this issue we are looking back at the way the magazine has progressed and its achievements. We are also taking a look at some very inspirational people who have been working really hard to help raise awareness and understanding for all of us. They deserve our recognition, our thanks and most of all our support.

[Believe it or not - I am deemed to be one of those inspirational people and was asked to write an article which appears in this edition.  Stella]

Operation Affirmation – by Purple Law Lady

Affirmations are a way for us to harness the mind's power by directing our intentions toward our best selves and our happiest lives.  Say this phrase to yourself all day long. Write it down, email it to yourself, and post it where you will see it all day.

Love your day, love yourself, love your life!

A Time for Giving (Away) By Purple Law Lady

Being happy starts with giving away worry and stress (or so I’m told). Letting go of anything in life can be a little scary, but it can also be an amazing act of self-love.
This Christmas (or whatever holy days you may be celebrating), why not give away these 20 things and reach unlimited happiness.

Find out what they are: http://fibromodem.com/a-time-for-giving-away/

N.B. I would like to point out to you that the information in my FMS eNews blog is passed on to you mainly from other sources. Links are given to the original articles. I take no responsibility for their accuracy but freely give them publicity if I think they might be of interest to my readership. Sites I refer you to are for information only. They might conflict in their opinions, they might not even be medically sound, but I merely offer them for you to peruse and make your own judgements, accept or reject as you will. Only by reading widely can we get an overall picture of fibromyalgia syndrome and how we can deal with its symptoms, learn to cope with them and still have a life. Any advice or recommendation of a medical or legal nature should always be discussed with a qualified professional.
I also include various awareness items, benefits issues, as well as general health considerations. Anyone wishing to reproduce any of the included items in printed form should seek permission from the originators.
Wordz for the Week are from ‘Wordz for the Day’ by Donnie Kuhn, Sr. who died in May 2011.
This eNews is my personal offering to fibromyalgia sufferers and their carers and is not related to any other organisation or charity.
If you don’t already get reminders when each new FMS eNews is posted, please send an email to fmsstella@gmail.com and you will be added to the emailing list.
